About Aziz Ansari: Stand-Up Comedian and Actor

Aziz Ansari is a well-known American comedian and actor. He is widely popular for his different roles in NBC series, Parks and Recreation (2009-2015) as Tom Haverford and in the Netflix series, Master of None which he created. The show debuted just last year, 2015 and already The New York Times has called it as the best comedy of the year.

Life before Comedic/Acting Career 

Actor and comedian Aziz Ansari was born on February 23, 1983, and are of Indian-American descent. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina in a Tamil Muslim family that came from Tamil Nadu in India. Aziz’s mother, Fatima, works a job in the medical office while his Shoukath, his father, is a gastroenterologist. Aziz Ansari has said that he is more of an atheist. He attended Marlboro Academy and South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics. About the Laughing Samoans Comedy Show

The Laughing Samoans is a well-known comedy duo from New Zealand. The duo was formed by Eteuati Ete and Tofiga Fepulea’i. Both of them are of Samoan descent hence the name “Laughing Samoans”. The duo has successfully toured New Zealand with shows that are all sold out, plus having international shows in United States, Australia, London, Hawaii, Fiji and the Cook Islands back in 2009. As of current, the Laughing Samoan tour is still ongoing with new venues and dates constantly added to the duo’s tour circuit.

Career Start 

The Laughing Samoan’s first ever professional show was in when Tofiga and Ete did the “Laughing With Samoans” show in February 2003. It was in the New Zealand Fringe Festival in the Wellington Town Hall’s Illott Chamber, New Zealand. DeRay Davis Stand Up Comedian

Anyone can talk about violence, poverty, drugs and family dysfunction. Antoine DeRay Davis is funny when he does it. Antoine DeRay Davis who is also known as DeRay Davis was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is an American stand-up comedian. He is an actor and also a writer known for the 2007 film How She Move and The Fog, a film released in 2005. He is also the newest actor to be included in the cast of the theatrical remake of 21 Jump Street. He plays the role of Domingo, a leader of a biker gang. He joined the cast that includes Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Ice Cube, Rob Riggle and Dave Franco. He also portrayed the role of a comedian with Mo’Nique in the Truth Hurts video. Throughout his career as a comedian, DeRay had challenging experiences growing up through those subjects of poverty and race.

How his career started 

DeRay started his career as a comedian in comedy clubs. He also lent his writing talent and voice to lots of characters on BoonDocks, Kanye Wests and on Adult Swims Black Dynamite. DeRay created a hip, streetwise, sardonic mentality at a young age. He parlayed it professionally into the comedy-club course. It was in Laffapalooza Festival that he achieved his break in his career. He moved to Los Angeles and he won a competition in Comedy Central Laugh Riots and had his spot in Cedric: The Entertainer and Montreal Just for Laughs.
